Best time to post on LinkedIn in 2026

The Kairoset team · Updated · 2 min read

The short answer

Midweek, during working hours. Sprout Social's 2026 data points to Tuesday 11am–5pm, and Buffer's analysis of 4.8 million posts to Wednesday 4pm and Friday 3–4pm, with Monday the weakest day. Post at least weekly: LinkedIn says Pages that post weekly see twice the engagement.

LinkedIn is the most "office hours" of the big networks, and the data reflects it. Here's what the 2026 studies say and how to apply it.

What the studies found#

Times are in the viewer's local time.

StudyDatasetBest times for LinkedIn
Sprout Social (2026)~2 billion engagements, 307,000 profilesTuesday 11am–5pm
Buffer (2026)4.8 million postsWednesday 4pm, Friday 3pm, Friday 4pm; Monday is weakest
Hootsuite (2025–26)1 million+ postsTuesday and Wednesday, 4–6am

The studies agree on midweek and disagree on the hour. Hootsuite's early-morning result probably reflects people catching up before work; Sprout's and Buffer's reflect the afternoon slump. Test one of each.

Profiles and Pages behave differently#

Personal profiles and company Pages reach different people in different ways: a profile's posts go to its connections and followers, a Page's to people who follow the company. The studies above rarely separate the two, so if you manage both, test times for each on its own rather than assuming one schedule fits both.

How often to post on LinkedIn#

LinkedIn's own guidance for Pages is that companies that post weekly see a "2x lift in engagement". LinkedIn doesn't publish its method, but the message is clear: consistency beats bursts. LinkedIn staff have also said each post is judged on its own, so posting more often won't drag down your other posts.

How to find your best time#

  1. Open your post analytics, or your Page analytics for a company Page, and note when your best posts went out.
  2. Pick two slots, such as Tuesday late morning and Wednesday afternoon, and post comparable content in each for a month.
  3. Compare impressions and engagement per post, then keep the winner.

Scheduling LinkedIn posts#

LinkedIn's own scheduler lets you plan up to three months ahead, one account at a time. LinkedIn has said its algorithm doesn't care which tool you schedule with. Kairoset schedules profile and Page posts together with your other channels, and can add a first comment, a common place for links.

FAQ

What is the best day to post on LinkedIn?

Tuesday or Wednesday for most accounts. Buffer's 2026 data finds Monday the weakest day.

Is it bad to post on LinkedIn on weekends?

Not bad, just quieter. Most LinkedIn activity happens during the working week, so weekend posts usually reach fewer people.

How often should a company post on LinkedIn?

At least weekly. LinkedIn says Pages that post weekly see twice the engagement of those that don't.
